Blizzard Beach

Make a splash in Disney's Blizzard Beach

Located near Animal Kingdom and the All-Star Resorts, Blizzard Beach is inspired by a ski resort that did not suit Florida’s hot climate and so the park is set in a frozen environment but with a tropical feel!

Attractions include Summit Plummet one of the tallest and fastest free-fall water slides in the world, Toboggan Racers, Teamboat Springs and Cross Country Creek a lazy river where guests can leisurely float around the perimeter of the park. The parks centerpiece Mount Gushmore is where most of the slides can be located. At the main entrance you can find towel and locker rental at the Beach Haus store.

The park is divided up into three areas with coloured slopes red, green, and purple with varying slides and attractions. The beach area and wave pool of Melt-Away bay is located in the southern area of the park connected via bridge near to the entrance and Lottawatta Lodge restaurant. Be aware at busy times of the year due to high capacity Blizzard Beach may restrict admission.

We suggest getting to the park as soon as it opens, or you may be disappointed and have to wait until it reopens, normally at 2:00pm.

Do You Need a Full Day at Blizzard Beach?

The park can be explored within a few hours if you arrive as soon as it opens, it is not necessary to spend an entire day at Blizzard Beach. If the two water parks are open, you can experience both on the same day as long as it is not high season or a holiday weekend.

Crowds at Blizzard Beach

Crowds in the water parks are mostly weather-dependent. It is generally a good idea to arrive at opening time to get the most out of the activities and attractions the park has to offer and get an area to sit in the shade. Generally, the parks get busier from April through July but crowds at Blizzard Beach are normally not anything to get concerned about.Disney

FAQs on Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle is situated in Berkshire in the South of England. It is in the town of Windsor which is twinned with Eton by the River Thames. The average journey times from London are around 60-90 minutes by coach and around an hour by train.

You can use one of the many tour operators from London and have all your travel needs taken care of for you. You can also travel independently from London by train using either Paddington or Waterloo main line stations to Windsor.

Windsor Castle can be traced back to the 11th century with building work starting on the Castle around 1070.

Windsor Castle has always been a working palace. Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II used Windsor Castle as her private home where she would usually spend the weekend and as an official Royal residence. There are also the staff living at Windsor Castle which includes the titular head of the Castle community, the Constable and Governor of Windsor Castle; the Dean of Windsor, Military Knights of Windsor, housekeepers and soldiers. There are roughly 150 people living at the Castle itself.

Windsor Castle is owned by the state/crown and belongs to the reigning monarch by virtue of their position.
